is also famous for its carpets, leather shoes and gold thread embroidery.
- Taj Mahal : An exquisite poetry in white marble, Taj Mahal signifies the epitome of love. It was built by the Mughul Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
- Agra Fort : An architectural and artistic achievement, Agra Fort has a number of elegant buildings including Moti Masjid, Diwane-e-aam, Diwane-e-khas, Sheesh Mahal, Khaas Mahal and
Jahangir's Palace. Musamman Burj, the place where Jahangir was imprisoned until his death is also located within the Agra Fort.
- Ram Bagh : One of the earliest Mughul Gardens, Ram Bagh was built by Emperor Babar.

Nainital
A picturesque hill station nestling in the Kumaon hills. Nainital's lake blends beautifully with the surroundings, creating mesmerizing scenery. Some of the places of interest are:
- Snow view : It offers an enchanting view of the north Himalayas. A ropeway makes Snow View accessible
- Naina Peak : Situated at an altitude of 2611 mts, this peak flanks a beautiful lake.

About 18 km from Dehradun, Mussoorie is a popular hill station. Its appeal lies in its pristine, virginal charm. Some of the places worth seeing are:
- Bhadraj Temple : A temple built in honour of Lord Balbhadra, the elder brother of Shri Krishna, it offers a panoramic view of the Doon valley and Chakrata Range.
- Camel's Back Road : Camel's Back Road has a rock resembling a sitting camel. This place offers immense opportunities for horse riding and long walks.
- Gun Spot : The main attractions are the telescope and the majestic view of the snow-clad mountains.
- Mussoorie Lake : A picturesque lake, tourists find it an interesting spot as they can enjoy paddle boating along with a superb valley view.
- Nag Devta Temple : An ancient temple situated at a distance of 6 km from Mussoorie.

Dehradun
Nestling in the Doon valley, it has a serene beauty that gives it a unique place among the hill stations of India.It is known for its fruit orchards.
Forest Research Institute, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Masli Deer Park and Tapkeshwar Temple are some of the must-visits. Robber's Cave, a picnic spot is about 8 km from Dehradun.

Almora
A town with a rich cultural heritage, Almora is an interesting place as snippets of history are woven into the daily life of the people living there. Nanda Devi Temple adds a religious significance to Almora.
